Safe, Affordable, Quality Housing for Men

Make ReStore Housing Your New Home!

Although our New Orleans recovery and re-entry housing program is newly launched, our model stands on the strong foundation of our mentors and partners in Los Angeles, California. These leaders have set the gold standard for successful transitional housing currently providing over 185 beds. Their best practices, proven systems, and expert guidance have influenced ever part of our operating model and laid the foundation for how we run our housing program.

Since 2010, our Los Angeles partners have housed over 30,000 men, achieving outcomes that have made them one of the most respected housing networks in the region. The majority of their house members were referred directly from the justice system and from Community-Based Organizations seeking safe, structured housing for their clients. These same referral pathways, strategies, and operational methods are now being implemented in New Orleans by our seasoned and well-trained team.

Resources, support, and strategic referrals are provided to each house member as part of a personalized case-management track—a model pioneered by our Los Angeles partners and adopted by our team to ensure each individual receives the tools they need to rebuild. The focus is always on creating a strong, stable foundation so that every person’s second chance is meaningful, purposeful, and genuinely transformative.

Through this partnership-driven model, New Orleans now benefits from over a decade of expertise, proven results, and refined best practices—making our “new” recovery and re-entry housing program one of the most experienced in the region.

ReStore Housing's Shared Housing First Model

The Challenges ReStore Housing is Solving:

    • Overcrowded shelters, limited reentry and sober housing options.
    • High relapse and recidivism rates due to lack of structure and accountability.
    • Lack of quality housing for men transitioning from treatment or incarceration.
    • Limited coordination between outpatient treatment, reentry, and housing providers.
    • The "Housing First" ideology (one-person-per-room and the one-person-per-house models) may sound appealing on paper — but in reality, it’s flawed, ineffective, and fails to address the core issues of mental illness, drug addiction, relapse, recidivism, and housing stability.

    ReStore Housing's Solutions:

    • Safe, structured, and supportive sober living environments for men.
    • Affordable and quality shared-living model designed for sustainability & peer support.
    • Life-skills training and personal development workshops.
    • Workforce development and job placement partnerships.
    • Accountability systems that promote long-term self-sufficiency, recovery and housing stability.

    What Makes Shared Housing Powerful:

    • Built-in peer support and accountability.
    • Encourages community engagement and teamwork.
    • Reduces isolation — a major relapse and recidivism trigger.
    • Lowers individual housing costs while improving quality of life.
    • Creates a sense of belonging and purpose.

At ReStore Housing Inc., we’ve seen firsthand that transitional shared living environments — when properly structured and supervised — foster accountability, teamwork, emotional healing, and peer mentorship. Residents support one another, share their struggles and victories, and learn to build relationships rooted in responsibility and respect.

This community-based approach not only reduces relapse and recidivism rates but also multiplies the impact of every housing dollar — allowing more men to access quality, affordable, and supportive housing that truly changes lives.

We serve Veterans, individuals recovering from substance use, people re-entering society after incarceration, and those experiencing homelessness with affordable housing and referrals to third-party (external) wraparound services that foster long-term stability and independence.

Our shared sober living homes provide more than just shelter — they provide a peer-driven, sober environment where members can reset, rebuild, and reimagine their futures. House members receive referrals to licensed external service providers to access recovery support, outpatient treatment, life-skills training, case management, job placement, and healthcare.
